Andrew Upsets the Neighbours

Next door to Sonia and Andrew, lived the Alvi family. Well, sort of.

During Sonia's transition from young adult to adult, and Andy coming into her life.... Iqbal had died (I presume), leaving VJ and Miraj to keep the household running.

Curious, both Sonia and Andy struck up a friendship with these two. Or at least VJ. Andy more so with VJ though. Often they'd be found, either chatting online or calling each other on the phone.

Being totally honest with you, they'd never met face to face..... until now.

Andy noticed that mommy was a little distracted and forgetful of late (she forgot to study a book for work, and forgot to bring in some food for the presentation at work).

As neat and as 'perfect' as she tried to be, sometimes juggling household chores like cleaning and her work often became too much. So she hired some help around the house. Namely the Maid Service permanently, and the baby sitter occasionally.

Sadly this day, in her haste to get to work, she'd forgotten to call the babysitter. So Andy was left home alone (only briefly).

After sitting playing with the newly refurbished doll house, boredom soon set in and he longed to go outside. Sadly, because of the curfew limits, he wasn't allowed to go too far, so he popped into the Alvi house next door.

Surprisingly, (maybe more to the point.... luckily) they were both home and VJ invited Andy in. This was the first time he'd imposed upon a neighbour, but he got on very well with VJ.

They initiated a friendly hug with one another.

Then, to break the ice (as if there was any ice to break, Andy knew that VJ was childish, which suited him perfectly), they pulled silly faces at each other.

VJ wandered outside to play on the swing, and Andy followed, enjoying himself immensely.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for long-suffering Miraj. He complained, the minute Andy started swinging, claiming that he's 'stolen his favourite seat'.

By now, Andy was feeling a little peckish and wondered if they'd mind if he had a slice of bread and jam, just to put him over.

Not a good idea.

Miraj declared that Andy was being 'very inappropriate', and surprisingly enough, VJ was inclined to agree with his brother!!!

Not wanting to go back home, Andy also did not want to have himself a little 'accident', so he used the toilet.

It overflowed.

Which caused Miraj and VJ even MORE distress.

The poor little guy was so tired that eventually he crashed out on their rather grotty looking settee.

Miraj was embarrassed.

It appeared that poor Andy could do no right, in their eyes. When he finally woke up, it was time for his mommy to come home after her shift at work. So he reluctantly made his way home, much to the relief of his neighbours, the Alvi's.

He got a hug from mommy, but after seeing how tired he was (that nap didn't work after all) she ordered him to bed. She'd had a crappy day at work and needed some 'Me Time'.

He trotted upstairs, feeling a little grotty, and decided to take a shower.....

......and promptly broke it, causing water to leak everywhere. (is there a pattern here? A trait we're expecting when Andy grows up perhaps?)

Which didn't please mommy at all. Grumbling, she dragged out her emergency toolkit and set to work fixing it. Sure, she could have called out a technician, and paid the 50 Simoleans, but she decided to fix it herself.

So much for her 'Me Time'.
