Besides, she herself admitted, she wasn't getting any younger and working wasn't the only thing in her life.
So, she invited him over for a meal and perhaps ... maybe ... work on that relationship a little bit more.

Nervously she fussed about the house... repairing all the broken stuff that needed attention.

After all, this was the first time he'd been anywhere near the 'cheaper' side of town. His mansion sat proudly on the hill, vying for supremacy along with the Alto's grand mansion, across from the lake.
And Sonia worried that he'd 'look down his nose' at her for where she lived. It was, being truthful, the only place she could afford for now, even with 5* star chef's wages. After all, there were bills to pay. Some rocks she'd found cost money to be smelted and cut. And the food bill wasn't exactly cheap.
After all, steak had to be exported especially for Andy's favourite meal treat of Tri Tip Steak. That stuff doesn't grow on trees ya know?

Not only that, books were expensive too. Especially for the thirsty mind of little Andy. His passion for fishing was costing her a fortune. There was the fishing tackle, equipment, bait etc.
She'd even decided to have a small pond built at the back of the property, just so that he could fish before 6am without breaking curfew.

Speaking of Andy, the school counsellor declared that every student must make friends with a new buddy. And Andy was paired up with the neurotic, lonely Donnie Wolff.
Donnie was having a pretty difficult time at home. Although his mother adored him, his father wasn't quite so keen at all. So Donnie was often found sitting outside the Science Laboratory, reading fantasy books.

Not afraid to take on any challenges/opportunities, Andy decided to invite Donnie over, doing homework together, having dinner with family etc. Even if it was just bread & jam sandwiches. This little kid simply relished in the idea of feeling part of a family unit.

And it worked, they became fast friends.
Well, going back to Sonia and Malcolm. He arrived, just as the phone rang, and before she had chance to answer the door, he was gone!!!
Grrr.
The next time, it was fairly late, and he was getting tired and grouchy.

They got along well, she gave him a back massage, which was a good sign.

They held hands and stared into each other's eyes.

Then suddenly, his mood changed. When she moved in for her 'First Kiss' he backed away, declaring her as being awkward!!!

By now, Sonia was getting really frustrated. At this point she was very close to giving up on men altogether.

But something inside her persisted with Malcolm. She felt that he needed to break out of that shy shell he was cocooned in.

And it paid off!!!He held her close, their noses almost touching, breaths in short gasps.

They shared their 'First Kiss' together. It was really sweet. A little awkward at first, but very very sweet.

Sadly, he had to leave in a hurry, but the grin on his face spoke volumes.

And judging by the dreamy look on Sonia's face, I'd say she was ecstatically happy too!!!!
