Her stomach felt queasy and she blamed the Lobster meal, worried that that was the reason why Malcolm left in a hurry (claiming to be needed elsewhere).
But, before she had the chance to pick up the phone and call him, she had to make a wild dash to the bathroom, and make friends with Mr Toilet!!!

She felt a little better, after purging the contents of her stomach, and decided to take a little nap.
Suddenly, she felt exhausted.
And her appetite just got that little bit bigger.
It was time to consult the books.
Then it dawned upon her, whilst skimming through the pages......

..... she was pregnant!!!!
Now, THIS was going to be interesting indeed.
Although Malcolm didn't have any commitment issues, Sonia found it was darned difficult trying to boost a relationship with him. At least she managed to gain a high enough one to get a WooHoo out of him.
But that was it. Each time she wanted to get closer, he seemed to shy away.
And now, she was pregnant.
There was only one thing for it.....
.... to raise this child on her own.

If Malcolm wanted to be a part of it all, then fine. If not, this baby will be loved and adored regardless. After all, there was the fact that Andy would be there, helping her through it all too.

This meant, however, that this was going to be a major lifestyle change for her. She couldn't work at the Diner any more, so she decided to resign her post. After all, she'd reached the top of the Culinary career, there was nowhere else for her to go.
But before she resigned, she realised that there was money to be had in the Diner itself. So she bought some shares in the business (thanks to the sale of all that excess furniture), and waited for a cut in the profits, whilst she was spending time nurturing the baby and keeping house.
And that's on top of the royalties she was getting from her two best seller books too.
So, now, whilst she was still fairly active, Sonia would spend a little time reading up on pregnancy.
Whether it was at home, whilst Andrew was doing his homework.

Or out and about, after sneaking back to the old house to harvest the fruit and vegetables there.

Even Andy took a more active role in this pregnancy. Often talking and listening to her ever growing stomach.

On top of that, her cravings went a little wild.
All of a sudden, for no apparent reason, she'd suddenly want to eat Key lime Pie.

So, she'd waddle into the kitchen and start baking.

Mind you, Andrew didn't mind at all. He knew she was an amazing cook anyway, and really enjoyed snacking on all the leftovers.

Word got out, however, and all of a sudden, Malcolm's mother had a keen interest in the baby. Constantly calling Sonia whenever the hours suited her, just to chat.

Perhaps .... maybe perhaps... if Sonia could convince Nancy to use a little influence....
.... maybe Malcolm would be willing to marry her before the baby was born?
Maybe.
